CONSISTENT CHARACTERS
A Character Identity Pipeline — Prompt to Screen
Overview
This project set out to answer a specific production problem: can a single written brief generate a character whose face, wardrobe and lighting hold consistent across every angle — without a manual clean-up pass between shots?
Six characters were built end to end through the same pipeline, from a plain-text description through to a client-ready turntable, to test consistency and speed rather than a single hero result.
The Brief
Every character starts as a written description — physical build, features, wardrobe. Nothing else. No reference photo, no mood board. The brief is the only creative input the pipeline needs to hold identity across every subsequent generation.
Production Pipeline
Written description only — physical traits and wardrobe, nothing else.
A canonical face-on portrait generated with locked facial identity as the root reference.
Three-quarter and profile angles generated from that root, holding wardrobe and lighting.
Alpha matting, orientation correction and framing checks run before anything is exported.
A scripted After Effects pipeline turns the stills into a rotating client-review sequence automatically.
Packaged and ready for review in minutes rather than days.
Creative Challenge
The core challenge was holding identity and wardrobe across angles generated independently of one another. Face, hairstyle, clothing construction and lighting all needed to survive rotation without drifting into a slightly different person by the third angle.
That meant solving for framing consistency, orientation reliability and scale between shots — problems that only show up once you're testing across a real range of characters, not a single polished example.
Same outfit.
Same lighting. Every time.

Final Thoughts
Consistent Characters demonstrates that identity consistency across angles can be engineered, not just hoped for — through pipeline design, not manual per-shot correction.
The value isn't a single strong render. It's a repeatable system that holds up across six different people, ready to plug into production work rather than stay a one-off demo.
