AUREN S1
AI Automotive Commercial
Overview
AUREN S1 is a fictional premium electric grand tourer developed as an AI-first automotive commercial concept. The project was built to test whether a generated campaign could be directed and finished with the same level of control expected from a traditional launch film rather than becoming a sequence of disconnected AI car shots.
Following my earlier HAVEN & CO. case study, the objective was to move into a more demanding visual category. Automotive work is less forgiving: proportions, stance, surfacing, lighting signatures, interior language and overall brand positioning all have to feel coherent.
Creative Direction
The film was structured as a restrained premium launch piece rather than a performance-driven automotive ad. The pacing leans on controlled reveals, surface detail, lighting signatures, material realism and a final brand resolution rather than aggressive cutting or overt sales language.
Visually, the direction combines Scandinavian architectural restraint with luxury automotive cinematography: soft dusk lighting, minimal environments, deliberate camera movement and clean reflections.
Production Pipeline
Creation of the fictional AUREN marque, defining the car’s premium EV positioning, exterior language, interior tone and end-card identity.
Shot planning, campaign tone and commercial structuring to keep the project grounded as a launch film rather than a loose visual experiment.
Still generation used to lock design continuity, shot framing, location mood and material direction before moving into video generation.
Motion scenes generated and refined to preserve consistent design language, restrained automotive camera movement and believable premium pacing.
Assembly in After Effects including pacing, scene balancing, brand typography, end-card treatment, colour grading and final polish.
Music and minimal sound design used to support a premium launch-film feel, then delivered as a complete commercial case study.
The Challenge
Automotive concepts fall apart quickly if the design logic is not controlled. If the proportions drift, the wheels change character, the body surfacing becomes inconsistent or the lighting signatures shift from shot to shot, the audience stops reading the vehicle as a product and starts reading it as image generation.
The core challenge was production discipline: creating a fictional car that could survive multiple scenes, camera angles and generated outputs while still feeling like a single designed object.
Directed as a campaign.
Finished as a commercial.

Why This Project Matters
The value of AUREN S1 is not just the finished film. It sits in the production thinking behind it: building a fictional automotive brand from scratch, carrying design continuity across generated stills and motion, shaping the material into a coherent launch-film structure and finishing it to a commercial standard.
The useful question around AI production is not whether a model can output a striking frame, but whether those outputs can be directed, systemised and refined into work that feels intentional enough to sit inside a real creative pipeline.
